Thank You Letter
The thank you letter is an indispensable part of the interview process, because it shows respect for the hiring manager and a keen interest in the position. In addition, the thank you letter provides one more opportunity for you to make a good impression and show your attention to detail.
The thank you letter should be written as soon possible after an interview. Immediately after you complete an interview, make notes on a few main things you would like to highlight from your interview. Make sure you have the correct spelling of the hiring manager’s first and last name. As soon as the letter is written, it should be e-mailed to the hiring manager, so that it is received while your interview is still fresh in the hiring manager’s mind.
The thank you letter should express your enthusiasm about the position and your appreciation for the interview, while also being concise. If there is anything you forgot to mention during the interview about how your knowledge, skills, and abilities can make a positive contribution to the company, that information can be included in the thank you letter.
